Orange Planet
I can’t believe I’ve forgotten about this manga, because it’s all about romance and it’s very well done.

Orange Planet is about Rui, a high school student in love. One day, while delivering a love letter, Rui finds herself caught in a fire! Eisuke, the owner of the apartment that caught fire, says that since he saved Rui from the fire, that he should live in her home! This will be a problem for Rui, because her childhood friend, Tarou, lives next door and often comes into Rui’s house unexpexctedly. Will Rui be able to put up with Eisuke living in her home without being caught? /onemanga synopsis/
Also, Rui’s parents died and she has been writting to “Haru-san”, symbolized by a star-patched bear, who is a boy who gifted her a star when she was small after the terrible accident of her parents and she could go on because of him.
The manga is romantic at its best, and I think it has many twists that will leave you…wtf. Haha, especially the first one. Anyway, it is a funny manga, but when it comes to heavy romance it can get serious. The artstyle really fits the atomosphere the plot gives.
Want to get spoilt? -I’ve read up to chapter 17-
Here…
Rui is at first, mad in love with Kaoru, the good-looking boy of the class…however…

Though Kaoru has an “evil scheme” all along, while Eisuke tries helping Rui, and while Tarou is dying of jealousy, the truth is, Kaoru is deeply in love with Tarou, his best friend. That was awesome, seriously, especially because at the end of the volume he points at who he likes and they are all WTF since Rui and Tarou are sitting beside each other. He helps Tarou as much as he can though, saying the way he is is okay for anybody and trying to fix things up one time Tarou got in a fight with Rui. The guy is good. <3
As the story goes on, Tarou’s obvious crush on Rui comes to it’s boiling point and he can’t help but tell her. Eisuke has been too important for Rui though -I think they should have had more interaction though, I didn’t feel the strong bond until they saw the stars and there was a “hmm Haru-san?” moment.

When we get to a bit longer haired!Tarou, he becomes aggresive and demands an answer from Rui. She has to give him an answer after the exams…

Things become complicated, however, as new boy Chiaki moves where Eisuke was living. He has a small crush on Rui but this doesn’t last too long, he even ends up with another girl I really like, but the point is he is actually Eisuke’s cousin, and he helps or just becomes a nosey brat with both Tarou -telling him who Haru-san is- and Rui -giving information about Eisuke-.

After this, Rui has finally chosen Tarou, since she gets to know Eisuke is wtf ENGAGED. She doesn’t love Tarou as she loves Eisuke though, but she can’t help it…

Problem is, Eisuke DOES come back, and worst, his fiance is the cheerleading team leader -a club Rui has decided to participate in-. She is a nice girl and she does love Eisuke, their engagement was arranged, also.
Rui is obviosuly sad, but as she doesn’t know, at first, who is Chika’s boyfriend, she goes on a double date with them…here, she asks if she loves Chika and Eisuke says yes…however, I think there is more than meets the eye…he isn’t a bad guy, he is Haru-san, apparently, and knows what Rui is thinking since he did read the letters. So maybe he meant he does love Chika, but since Rui didn’t ask what he thinks of her…
This makes Rui sad and she accidentaly gets on another train, along with…Eisuke.
He pretends to fall asleep and well…

Tarou becomes angry in chapter 17, since a)he gets to know that he is Haru-san and that he “has already lost a long time ago” to Eisuke -he actually cries-, and b)because Rui has been obviously down since Eisuke returned and especially after getting to know about his girlfriend.

Rui goes with Chika to Chika’s many pretty marriage dresses store, and she tries one on, thinking, of course, that Chika will marry Eisuke with one of those…suddenly Eisuke appears and she is dressed, she becomes sad and escapes. He follows her and aww, she tells her in a mirror-ish way that she hasn’t think about him at all, never wanted him to come back, and that she hates him so much while throwing herself into his arms.
Basically, she loves Eisuke and everything is a mess.

She better end up with Eisuke!!!
I really can’t wait for the next scanation to come out, There shouldnt be that many chapters left, since The manga finished already in Japan.
-cough-
I never really like Tarou, and when he started to become all demanding, things just got worse.

I have to agree and side with the Eisuke/Haru x Rui coalition. Although Tarou really cares for Rui he doesn’t really cut through. Besides he has so much opportunity to move in while Eisuke had to live far away before. Besides I also believe that Eisuke really loves Rui so much more than that other girl. (Notice that I didn’t even acknowledge the presence of that cheerleading extra… *hate her*) Anyway Tarou also reminds me of natsume in gakuen alice… so he should just end up with kaoru who sort of looks like ruka (notice that Kaoru is ruka pronounced backwards without the o) gosh what am I saying!?
