Pokémon Diamond // About all games and new pokémon.

OH YES.

Isn’t it just lovely when a Pokémon that needs to be happy to evolve actually evolves? When I played Pokémon Silver, it took ages for Eevee to become an Umbreon, by level 40, actually. So, it became a pain having the Eevee on the team, because his normal attacks were basic and not powerful. Well, Cleffa sucked. What’s good about Clefairy is that it can learn some useful attacks or some random one, like Solarbeam or Thunder, which is always good.

But, why keep a Cleffa if I was risking having it forever like a Cleffa, or at least quite the precious time? It’s true I like Clefairy, and I recall having one in my team in previous games, but that’s not all.

I dislike almost all of the new Pokémon. The 3rd Generation was quite sucky, but this one exceeds limits. I mean, Croagunk, seriously?? The three starters always had something that made you like them. Well, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle are favourites of a lot of people and kick ass, then Chikorita/Totodile/Cyndaquil were at least cute, and then I quite dislike the 3rd Generation starters, especially Treecko. I ended up choosing Torchic, ‘cause Blaziken was powerful. Yet, when playing again (or a different version) I would chose any of them and leave them on Bill’s (or any of the new PC makers or something) PC.

I think that, as its such a popular franchise, that they could put some more effort in both the tv series and the games. Well, I’ve been playing them since Blue/Red, my favourite being Yellow/Crystal and my least favourites being Sapphire/Ruby. Diamon has new implements, new graphics and a whole new world, yet I still think I’m playing any of the other games. Yet, the story of Red/Green/Blue/Yellow had this something…some tenderness in it, a reason to go catch the 150 and have fun capturing Mewtwo. Crystal was cool because you have both Kanto and Johto regions to explore, but sadly, the Kanto region was pancake and there was no need to train…I don’t like Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald region, and I never had interest in the story. Bite me, but I want Giovanni’s evil plans back. As for Diamond, I am enjoying it, as I finally made a good team and stopped switching Pokémon -because it took some time to find a Ponyta, a Pikachu and a good water type- but I don’t have interest in Galactic’s evil plans and I think they look ridiculous.

We all know there will be more games, and I think a cooler storyline -like, it can actually be deep and involve Pokémon friendship without having a villain team of the week, and even involving getting to new places with the help of HM’s and becoming the greatest master ever.

And, this is my team:
Yush naming!
Chatot is powerful, Fuwante is cool looking and then there were not so many Generation 1 to find, so I got what I could and luckily I like them all, at last.
