Deadman Wonderland /up to chapter 11/

THAT anime blog made a post of this series, so I couldn’t help but like the artwork it offered. I will start watching Eureka 7, since I’m new with it and I can’t believe I never appreciate the original artwork.

The plot revolves around Ganta, whose classmates get killed by a mysterious man in red, “Red Man”, who uses strange powers. Everything would have been an unfortunate tragedy, a crazy murder, but it turned out to be more. Ganta is actually accused of the killings, and is sent to “Deadman Wonderland”, “Japan’s only publically operated prison, build after the earthquake as a tourist attraction to help revive Tokyo. The prisoners serve as staff and ‘entertainment’ for visitors” (wiki).

WARNING. Spoilers ahead.
Plot twists. This manga has them, and I like them. Along the characters Ganta meets, the most important of them is Shiro, a girl with an incredible physical power, which talks in a childish manner and helps Ganta when she can. The biggest revelation is that the red man…is actually her. Whoa, that was not expected. I am stupid though, I never paid attention to the start of the manga, except for the woman playing the piano and crying, I even forgot the word “Woodpecker”. Questions to be answer, a lot of them. Does Shiro have a double personality, or just hides her true self, being a plain maniac? What is the “Branch of Sin”, and how is the Great Earthquake related? I didn’t understand, or failed to notice, how the melody that refrain Shiro to returning or becoming “Red Man” got to her ears…and, if Red Man is her real personality, what are her motives? I guess slaughtering Ganta’s classmates was both to become her only friend and obviously, to meet him again…make him a “Deadmen”. Yet, why? Shiro has suffered a lot of experiments as a child, since she is The Wretched Egg, so maybe, as a common plot device, that suffering would have make her develop a strong, wretched personality…

Someone mentioned the use of children fairytale words, which I can’t remember at the moment, but this manga has elements I remember from Mirai Nikki and Rule of Rose (PS2). The use of child-like actions or words + twisted characters + blood and gore + psychological empathy has always made a good combination. Dark series indeed.

Multifandom latest news.

Spoilers ahead.

D.Gray-man 155 (manga)
Oh well, we did have Allen save the day…but Lenalee did play her part. All their efforts didn’t mean much though, since level 4 stood up, but then we have dear old General Cross -makes me think where he was all this time- who kills the beast in seconds. Seems the mangaka will take some time to “gather information”.

School Rumble 268 (manga)
The moment I seriously thought would never come…came. Harima made his feelings known to Tenma-chan, and he made many epics and gar acts by, instead of being selfish and keeping Tenma for himself, he gave her the chance to be with Karasuma-kun. And, Tenma actually got the message…blushed a little, and I think she is really glad to have someone like Harima…too bad things are going to the Karasuma/Tenma side. Makes me go “what if…”.
What if, as the manga is going, Tenma/Karasuma becomes solid canon? According to Harima, nor Yakumo nor Eri make the woman for him…both are the opposite of Tenma -whose characteristics are what Harima likes of her-, so I wonder…they can’t leave the guy alone!

Katekyo Hitman Reborn! 187
So, Tsuna was caught. I’ve got not much to say, but it’s turning so slowly…I’m tired of all those weird technics and stuff. I want the funny moments to return, and this arc to end. I was expecting, and still am, the mystery behind the Arcobaleno, Byakuran and Jou, but each battle takes like 5 chapters…

School Days 9 (manga)
After the spiffy anime, we have the manga. It was many similar moments like the anime, obviously, but the extra material is great. Both Katsura and Sekai have the same roles, yet Sekai is seen suffering a lot, and makes tons of advances to Makoto, saying she is sorry she loves him but if she can be with him, she feels he is all hers. My favourite female was Sekai, even though a lot hate her haha, but even with her weird behaviour towards the Makoto/Katsura pair, I can’t stand characters like Kotonoha who can’t accept the truth and play dumb until she decides to use a chain-saw. Hope they make the ending more Sekai-oriented, though the killing moment in the anime makes me think Makoto was sorry to hurt everyone. I don’t think the guy loved Katsura in the end. She was his last option. With a preagnant Sekai, a guy who doesn’t want to take responsability started searching for Kato, and any of the others, and so he went back to Katsura…anyway, chapter 9 reached the love-making affair, and while Makoto was trapped with Sekai since then, in the manga he feels guilty for what he does to Kotonoha but when Sekai kisses him, he doesn’t retreat. So, sex wasn’t the essential factor…but, we have to see…

Air Gear 196 (manga)
YES, the battle against Orca ENDED. And, from what the ending can tell me -Akito using the eeh, stick-reviving method instead of a kiss-, I think we can assume any worries of that “pairing” won’t happen. =)

True Tears 13

I’m going to fetch some pics later…

The ending seem fitting. I knew who was going to win Shinichirou since I like spoiling series and reading blogs for information. Since I wanted that from the very start, I’m really happy with it.

Shinichirou crying was a bit ¿? though it makes sense if he feels guilty, yet he repeated he loved Hiromi to Noe two times + a BIG “inside Shinichirou’s heart is Yuasa Hiromi”, lol. I guess he was making a way for his pain, for not being able to be with Noe anymore, yet he have a good cause…a better cause for him.
Noe’s fate was truly sad, must be painful to know your dear brother and only sibling is madly in love with you. Lol at the little, inocent boy that comes after Jun in the bus station, does that reflect innocence/reality? Maybe.
-poor Jun-
Shini’s mother, well, I really like her assuming a parent-like rol with Hiromi. She knew how lonely she must be feeling, and was clever enough to understand the situation and be with her for a moment.

I’m really happy I blogged this series. The music, artwork, everything was beutiful. As for the romance, I love it, yet, I don’t really think it’s harem or anything like that…I’m unsure which rol Aiko play in all of this. I clearly understand them showing unrequited love and starting again, but does she gave that much as to be in the title? But I like her character so everything is okay. Nobuse pwned, Shini did as well, and I like all characters. =)

I want to search for the “roach” song in japanese, as to read it.

True Tears 12

This episode made the series highlight a lot. It made me happy to blog it, since I missed a lot of good series like School Days, Ouran or Gurren Lagann.

Shinichirou
I like Shini so much, despite creating a love triangle. He is obviously confused, and I’m unsure if by the end of the episode he has cleared that confusion. He still blushes with Hiromi, but it acting a lot more serious. With Noe, she has obviously been Shini’s inspiration, and it may be leading more to a Noe/Shini…yet, I can’t see where Hiromi would be left. Like, her life would suck, dead parents, stolen boyfriend. =S

Noe
Waah, poor Noe, even though she is losing her mind for Shinichirou, I feel her pain when Jun confess…everything went downhill for her (Jibeta right?). Being eccentric it isn’t that out-of-character that she “tried to fly”.

Hiromi
Well, most characters need your sympathy. I really wanted a Hiromi ending, even though I don’t think Shini/Noe totally sucks, yet their past, their longed desire for each other…and what would her story teach us? Be honest before your guy gets hooked with a freak-cute girl? Maybe she’ll mature and grow and blah, but…dunno. I think she also deserves some happines, so maybe we will still get Shini/Hiromi.

Aiko/Nobuse
Yay, lovely pairing, and I really like the characters. Not much to say, hope it evolves to a real relationship. Which is probable. <3

Jun
He grew A LOT on me. You can’t help but feel sad for the guy, he gave everything for Noe and he can’t help it. I think the kissing scene was so well performed. And I don’t agree with him, I don’t think he has been selfish. He did a hell of a fight, resisting his feelings and desires to make Noe happy. And he decided to fly away, because it was heartbreaking to be with her…a low blow to Noe, but what can he do? I really like his character. Shows true love.

Ahh can’t wait for the ending. I think it’ll be as good as all episodes. =D

True Tears 11

NOE or SHINI?

As I fear so…Shini can’t take his thoughts away from Noe.
Hiromi makes a step and kisses him.
Aiko calls Nobuse (yay!), and she intends to begin from 0 being friends first. I don’t think she was being
hysterical or such, when Noe said about the “curse” being non-existant, I bet she understood how much he liked her
and that she even missed him.
Shini becomes stupid when Jun interferes in Hiromi’s game as she is being pushed on purpose by the rival team.
He states he hasn’t done anything properly in the end, thinking about both Noe and Hiromi.
Hiromi gets a call from Tomoyo, which showed that she is quite lonely living alone, IMO.
After Hiromi tells Jun she isn’t the one he likes, that that is Noe, she leaves, and Shini appears to watch the ending of it.
And Shini finishes his story….interesting. Jibeta is the one that tries to fly, and Raigomaru says he was an ordinary chicken after all.
So, I think Shini is Raigomaru after all, but Jibeta..? Noe? I mean, Noe is depressed, reality has slapped her. But maybe Raigomaru is Noe and Jibeta is Shini.
Hiromi has obviously discovered Jibeta/Raigomaru is about Noe and Shini, and even though she feels jealous, she lets Shini know Noe is missing.
Noe says she’ll let Jibeta fly…aww how sad, this picture. I wonder if Shini heard…
Poor Noe.

So, I don’t know anymore. Shini is obviously confused, I guess, Noe is super sad and Hiromi will be/is jealous. Jibeta’s fall can also mean something bad will happen to the Jibeta character…Noe, Shini…? I think it could refer to both.
Jibeta tried flying: Shini chose Hiromi but he didn’t reach the sky OR Noe fell as she was the one who wanted to fly yet her sky wasn’t Shinichirou.
Raigomaru being an ordinary chicken refers to Shini and Noe’s dialogue, it could also be that he wasn’t the chosen chicken to do it, as Shini wasn’t the one to get Noe’s tears back…or, agh, I’m confused haha. Then there’s no point in Noe being Raigomaru, unless she decided to step back and stay were she is, not trying to make the wrong flight. =O

Clannad 21/22 - Final Thoughts

Clannad 21 was quite slow, and the only important event is Nagisa being focused on the play and Nagisa finding out the truth.

Nice pic!

Clannad 22, our ending, had very strong family points and Tomoya/Nagisa…yet, isn’t something missing…?

True Tears 10

Awww.

I will say I won’t be satisfied if it doesn’t end Shini/Hiromi.
Shinichirou spends this episode focusing on Hiromi, taking notes for her, not making much attempt to see Noe, making Hiromi laugh. The only problem is he can’t continue his writting. This is where I start worrying.
He still doesn’t get what Noe meant. My opinion is he can’t fly yet ‘cause he isn’t being honest with his feelings. He is Noe’s boyfriend at the moment,
so I think he just has to deal with Noe and get on with Hiromi so that Raigomaru can fly. I mean, I seriously doubt he likes Noe more than Hiromi, she has been his first and only love for ages, and now that they can be together, it would be so silly to split them up.
I never thought Nobuse would actually talk with Noe. I think this would make a great story, them being together. Why not? They are both heartbroken.
But, who knows, maybe Aiko will suddenly discover deep feelings for Nobuse, since she “graduated” from Shinichirou.

After the dance, Hiromi goes to Shini’s room and he has this BIG smile in his face.Nice. Then, more of Raigomaru.
If what I think it’s correct, only when he and Hiromi become a couple or at least when he tells her how he feels will Raigomaru fly.
He even felt like “giving up” when knowing about Hiromi moving. He says “I even involve everyone and hurt everyone”…more “I used Noe” theory.

Ahh, I get it now, the reason why Hiromi is moving is because Noe is with Shinichirou and it will pain her. And she, at last, tells him. But she doesn’t wait for Shini to reply and leaves.

And then we have this awesome scene, GREAT music/animation-wise, and the dialogue, especially. Aww I love Shini. I love Shini/Hiromi.

Now, the preview…Noe being UBER SAD, Hiromi trying to break up again with Jun, IMO. Let’s hope for our Shini/Hiromi ending anyway.

Now, I actually like Kanda. His design in the manga looks so much better than in the anime, and even if he is moody all the time…I’m starting to like him more. And I can suddenly understand Lavi/Kanda shippers a bit more as well.

Anyway, the only thing I want is for Allen NOT to save Lenalee. Let her save herself, or maybe the nazi looking guy will sacrifice himself and demonstrate he only wants the best to the world, dunno. But, Allen appearing would be too typical…

Clannad 20

*squeals*
This episode includes Nagisa’s past, Sunohara pwnage, and Tomoya dealing with his feelings for Nagisa.
Awww! Go girl!

The picnic scene is the jewel of the episode though, it’s funny and poor Nagisa accidentally let spilled she likes Tomoya, and it was Akio’s fault haha. It was nice to see, however, how Tomoya still encourages Nagisa even after being embarrased. =)

Code Geass // Last 4 episodes.

Even though I knew what was going to happen, I had to watch the last episodes, since when it started airing I adored this series, then lost interest.
Eeek, looking forward to next season!
